What is the best (one) workout to work on my abs.!?

I’ve been doing plenty of situps and others but when I wake up in the morning my stomache or ab area doesn’t hurt what so ever. So does anybody know a work out that really does work, if so could you also give me the amount of reps, plus step by step instruction. Thankyou (:
