If my abs are still very sore from a workout I did 2 days ago, is it safe for me to work out again or wait?

I don’t want to injure myself or make it worse. Is it healthy to workout through any remaining pain from the first time? Or should I wait until most of the pain has subsided?

Two days should be sufficent for your muscles to repair themselves. However, there’s no harm in waiting a day or two so they don’t hurt any longer..

You should wait. It will only cause you more pain if you work out again. You dont want to make it hurt even more.

I to had this problem. I waited two days to do that part of my workout, the weight machines, then started again. I continued the bike, treadmill, etc. No pain today, thank goodness.

actually it is probrably that your abs are trying to adapt to the strenuous workout and the are still sore…..but gradually workout but not to much until your abs feel better. work on another area of your body.

No you should wait. However, don’t stop and just lay around you need to stretch and that could be the reason why you are still sore because you didn’t stretch properly before you began. But like someone said above it could be due to the fact that your body is not used to that type of workout. So just be careful and take it easy!

If you are not doing excessively difficult exercises then the best strategy is to work a muscle group hard and then skip a day, so I think it is OK to work out again. If you have an organized exercise program you want to work a muscle group hard and then use different muscle groups the next day to rest your sore muscles.

More details below.

THE ONLY REASON THAT YOUR SORE IS BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN SOMETIME SEEN YOU EXERCISED LAST AND YOU ABS HAVE TO GET USE TO IT.
AFTER YOU CONTINUE WITH YOU EXERCISES YOU WANT FEEL IT AS MUCH.
