Did an intense core workout for the first time. 2 days later, my abs are still painful.?

I have never done core workouts, only done chest, shoulders, back, biceps workout regularly. 2 days after my core workout, it hurts when i cough or sneeze or get up from laying down. its not bothering me when im not moving or doing stuff that involves ab movement though.

Is this normal? how long should I wait to do it again?

Its absolutely normal… do an ab workout tomorrow, you’ll be fine. Just like an intense leg workout. You’ll be sore for 2-3 days maybe more. Plus you done an intense w/o as your first time doing core movements. Just do a light ab work out tomorrow. Maybe 2 sets of 25 of sit ups. Should help get some of that soreness out.
